==Blocking IPs and users==
[[The Blockheads Wiki:User groups#Administrators|Administrators]] can [[Special:Block|block]] both IPs and users. As IPs cannot edit, nor are permanently tied to a device or username, they typically do not need to be banned. Make sure to notify users with a past history of constructive contributions of their block. Spammers and users banned for an indefinite period do not need to be notified.

===Block reasons===
Users can be banned for multiple reasons, and the reason can be found in the [[Special:BlockList|block log]]. Common reasons for a block:
*;Inserting false information
:Users should only be banned for intentionally inserting blatantly false information. In this case, the user should be banned for an indefinite period. If it is neither intentional nor blatantly false, it should be reverted. If the user continues to insert false information, an administrator should warn the user on the user's talk page. If the user still continues, the user should be banned for a period of 7 days.
*;Removing content from pages
:Users should only be banned for removing a large amount of a page's content without reason. If the user removes a moderate amount of content, the user should be warned. If they blank pages or remove content from multiple pages, the user should be banned for an indefinite period.
*;Spamming links to external sites
:Users should only be banned if it is obvious that they are doing this. Linking to one's profile on another website on their userpage, for example, is tolerated. If the user is spamming links to external sites, they should be banned for an indefinite period of time and the relevant pages/revisions deleted.

:Users should only be banned if it is obvious that they are doing this. If the user is inserting nonsense or gibberish into pages, they should be banned for an indefinite period of time and the relevant revisions deleted.

:Users should only be banned for intentionally and repeatedly intimidating or harassing another user using talk pages, user pages, edit summaries, or the email this user function. Prior to a ban, the user should be warned on the user's talk page. If the user still continues, the user should be banned for a period of 7 days. Upon their return, if the user continues to intimidate or harass another user, the user should be warned again and be blocked for a month. If the user continues, the user should be banned indefinitely. Relevant revisions, edit summaries, etc. should be hidden from public view.

An administrator will then review the page and its history prior to deleting it or taking another action.

==Deleting revisions==

Revisions can be deleted by viewing the history of a page, selecting the revisions to be deleted using the checkboxes, and using the "Show/hide selected revisions" button at the right side of the page history. == Tin foil hat ==

The tin foil hat is great for multitasking with numerous blockheads, but they tend to wander and destroy trees and buildings. It would be great if each blockhead had a preferred task they will complete first before wandering or will simply meditate until they can go back to that preferred task. There could be lumberjacks, harvesters, gardeners(will collect and plant seeds and fruit), miner, fishermen, hunters(go after dropbears and scorpions during the day). Another option would be for the blockhead to complete a specific task based on the first item in its inventory. Axe for lumberjack, seed for gardener/harvester( they could stop planting when so many of each seed or fruit are left), pick axe for miner, fishing rod for fishermen, a weapon for hunters.

A way to rain in the blockheads would be great as well. Just some way to keep them from ending up far away. Maybe an item crafted in sets of four to mark the corners of boundaries. This would keep lumberjacks from getting in the gardens and the miners from tearing up bases, like an electric fence for dogs. The land has its caves, the skies have their islands, but what about the deep bodies of water?

So first the equipment:
* Bronze ingots on the Armor Bench to make '''Bronze Boots'''. When these are worn, a blockhead doesn't float and can't swim -- they just sink to the bottom and walk (or climb) there. They may also sink on their own if dropped.
* Steel ingots and Kelp (and maybe other stuff) to make a '''Breathing Pack'''. This replaces any coat or shirt, much like a jetpack, and like a jetpack it's "fueled" -- but to supply air to the wearing blockhead. It can be recharged (with kelp) while being worn. But you have to also wear...
* Bronze ingots, Glass, and a Steel lantern to make a '''Diving Helmet'''. Worn with a Breathing Pack, it provides the wearing blockhead with what amounts to a portable block of air, as well as portable illumination. Worn ''without'' a Breathing Pack, the blockhead still gets the portable light but they immediately begin running down their air bar. (And thus may be used for temporary light in a dark place.)
* Bronze ingot and a stick to make a '''Harpoon'''. It's like an improved flint spear, but only when used against water targets (otherwise it's just like a more durable flint spear). Fish are killed in a single blow, sharks at an improved rate.

Now for what might be found:
* '''Coral''' is a shallow-water growth that only anchors on stone. It grows no more than three deep, but if it comes in contact with a passing boat it will drop the boat and dump the riding blockhead in the water. They can be harvested (with a pickax) as crushed limestone.
* '''Sea Cucumbers''' aren't actually plants, but the version here acts like one. Or maybe they're tube worms. Anyway, they only grow in deep water away from the sun and no more than two blocks tall. I don't know if they can be of any use except to spawn...

* '''Squid''' aren't big, but they're mean. They don't just bite and run like a shark, they'll latch on and keep biting. They'll run if attacked, though (even if they don't spray "ink"), and drop off if taken out of the water. They like to hover around...

== Copying worlds between devices (and how to do it) ==

With multiplayer, we can use one device to play in a world stored on another. But unless you completely copy (usually through restoring a backup) the contents of one device to another, you can't transfer worlds. It seems to me that the option could be included. Here's how I see it working.
*The source device hosts the selected single-player world for multiplayer on the local network. (This would encourage the player(s) to be in direct communication with each other and agree to the copy.)
*The receiving device connects to that world and has the option to join as a player or copy the world in.
*By asking to copy, the selected world is duplicated to the receiving device as a single-player world. Other than not copying any multiplayer information, the only change would be insuring the receiving player is the owner / admin of that world.
This process could be used to share a world (for non-multiplayer competition, for example) or to transfer worlds from older devices to newer ones.

Through the iOS implementations of The Blockheads, a single-player world can also be hosted over [[Multiplayer#Local Network|local network]] to allow up to five other players to join the world. The world can only be accessed by other players while the hosting player has that world active on their device in host mode.

If the app is deleted, all single-player worlds on the device are deleted.

An '''item''' is an object that is stored in a [[blockhead]]'s [[inventory]] in [[The Blockheads]]. Some items appear naturally in the [[The Blockheads|game]] and others are [[Crafting|crafted]] by a blockhead at a [[Crafting Surface|crafting surface]].

Items can be destroyed by dropping them on [[magma]] or dragging them out of the blockhead's inventory and waiting for them to disappear within a couple of in-game days. They should be placed where a blockhead is not likely to pass through in that time so they aren't automatically picked up again. Items such as [[chest]]s and [[safe]]s will not despawn if dropped in a [[Single Player|single-player]] [[world]], but may in a [[server]]. An object may also drop if it loses it's support, such as a [[Basic Torch|torch]] dropping in contact with [[water]].

Some items are able to be [[Renewable Resource|generated]] by various methods such as [[farming]] or [[meditate|meditating]]. Others are of [[Nonrenewable Resource|finite supply]] in a world, but each world is a rather large place, and with the addition of [[Portal Chest|portal chests]] in [[Game updates/20131010|version 1.4]], items may be brought in from other worlds as well. A '''block''' is a cubic components of a [[world]] in [[The Blockheads]]. A [[blockhead]] can rearrange the blocks to change the world.

To place a block, select the desired block in the [[inventory]], then tap the place on the screen where the block should be placed.

To remove a block, tap on the block to be removed. The blockhead will travel to the spot and commence deconstruction. The removal process takes more time if a blockhead isn't using the appropriate [[tool]] (the [[item]] selected when tapping on the block to remove).

Most blocks are solid and prevent a blockhead from moving through them. They can be climbed or walked on.

If a blockhead starts removing a solid block, it will slowly become partially transparent but remain solid until completely broken; meaning it's possible to make solid blocks look invisible - though only at a glance - using back walls to disguise the little parts of the blocks that still exist.

The least common weather, mostly appearing near the [[:Category:Location|poles]] and at higher altitudes. Snowflakes fall from the sky and cover the surface with snow, deepening as more falls without any "melting" due to warmer air.

[[Water]] blocks exposed to the cold air associated with snow may turn into [[ice]], sometimes to a considerable depth. A blockhead should wear warm articles of [[clothing]] in order to prevent freezing (and a possible loss of [[Health Bar|health]]. The [[North Pole Hat of Warmth]] is most effective.

Each successive blockhead will cost a different (increasing) amount of time crystals, starting at 50 for a second, 100 for a third, 150 for a fourth, and 200 for a fifth blockhead. ''Someone you used to know.''

I played The Blockheads mostly during 2018-2021 after version 1.7 came out. I went by many names when I previously played this game, too many to count and now forgotten. Now, you may call me Xyto.

It was a bit sad to see everything slowly yet surely fall apart over time. I barely remember even playing this game. What I do remember though is making sky bases. I'd make these huge compounds powered by either the sun, some steam generators, or a combination of both.

I was a moderator, admin, server owner, all the ''important'' server roles back in the day. It was sort of fun moderating the servers I was in (and by moderating I mostly helped with new players joining a server).

I stopped playing after the cloud servers shut down. But now I'm back, kind of. (At least in this wiki.)

Causes of death can be any event that can cause a blockhead to lose health, including but not limited to cold temperatures, drowning, or hostile mob attacks.

==Resurrection==
After death, a blockhead will start '''regenerating'''. When a blockhead is regenerating, it will show the blockhead spinning with its head slightly tilted upwards at the location it died while a portal-like music plays when the display is scrolled near it. Items in the [[inventory]] can still be dropped manually. A blockhead can be permanently killed at this point by tapping the "R.I.P." button, and if chosen, all items will be dropped. Otherwise, the player can wait about 10 minutes for the blockhead to regenerate completely and teleport to that [[world]]'s original spawn [[portal]]. The wait can be rushed for up to 100 [[Time Crystal|time crystals]] as well.

The first time a player has a blockhead regenerate after dying, they will earn the [[achievement]] "[[Resurrection]]".

If the player's only blockhead in a world dies permanently, the player can warp in another blockhead with the only cost being losing the previous blockhead. This method allows players to farm [[basket]]s, [[fruit]], and flint [[spade]]s.

[[The Blockheads]], like most other games, gets occasional '''updates''', adding new features and fixing bugs and glitches.

The update process for major updates starts with the developer of The Blockheads, [[David Frampton]] creating an update, followed by testing by the Majic Jungle beta team on iOS. After thorough testing, the release candidate build is sent to Noodlecake and Apple. Noodlecake then ports the update to Android, and does their own testing. Once both builds are approved by Apple and Google, the update goes live for all devices. 

The last available update for devices installing the game from the Amazon App Store was [[Game updates/20160114a|version 1.6.1.2]]. 

Minor updates do not have to be released simultaneously, such as version 1.5.2, where the Android version was released 30 days after the Apple release.

The longest wait between updates was between 1.6.2 and 1.6.3 on iOS, with a wait of 416 days. The shortest wait between updates was between 1.4.0.1 and 1.4.0.2 on Android, at a length of one day.
