Okay, how do we show the results? --McClaw (talk) 16:24, 25 February 2013 (MST)
:A very long a tedious process. Best thing to do is have two of every dye in your inventory. Then you either go to the Mixing Bench (for Paint) or the Dye Bench for clothes. You will have to have the other items needed as well (tin bucket/5 oil for paint OR clothing/bucket of water for dyeing clothes). Add your dyes and it should allow you to preview the look before applying it. Take screenshot of what it would look like. Take the screenshot and crop or edit it so you just get the item. That is how I planned on doing it. Although I have to say, it is probably towards the end of my list. Cdrras (talk),
::I'm thinking more "what item would show the effect properly?" Because we'd also be adding the object's base color to the effect. Maybe the linen shirt, as it seems to have the largest area without too much existing color. --McClaw (talk) 21:31, 25 February 2013 (MST)
:::Sorry that I misunderstood you. Yeah, if I had to pick, I would probably go with the linen shirt all for the reasons you described. Cdrras (talk) 07:26, 26 February 2013 (MST)
::::...and after double-checking the table, I realize I completely brain-froze on that. You've already listed all options. (Although the linen shirt might be the best first images to add.) --McClaw (talk) 09:15, 26 February 2013 (MST)
::::: It's ok. I think we are both on the same page. Cdrras (talk) 09:27, 26 February 2013 (MST)

Could other items be dyed?
In another world I saw some shops that were another color than normal shops. Were they dyed? A child of God (talk) 05:58, 3 September 2015 (MDT)
:They were painted. Paint can be used to recolor shops. --McClaw (talk) 15:29, 3 September 2015 (MDT)
