New page

==Tips==
Obtaining black sand is cheapest with a tin spade, a magnet, and a little exploring. (The magnet picks up black sand in one stroke without wear.) A lvl 3 (sapphire) trade portal allows it to be purchased directly, but an alternate and possibly cheaper route is to have an electric press, electric sluice, and an electric furnace, all with power:
*Buy/mine common stone (and limestone, one block per 5 black sand desired).
*Press the stone to gravel (and limestone to crushed limestone).
*Press enough gravel to make one block of sand for each block of black sand desired.
*Sluice gravel until there's three iron ores for every block of black sand desired.
*Furnace the iron ore and crushed limestone to make pig iron.
*Press the sand and pig iron to make black sand.
