Diamond: Difference between revisions

Diamonds are sky blue and square (standing on a point) in appearance. They have a large sparkle and their size is slightly larger than all the other gemstones. They are distinctively radiant with a white luminescence under a lack of direct sunlight. The luminescence appears to radiate slightly brighter than the other gemstones. They also reflect light to surrounding blocks. They do not have a shape similar to any other [[gem]] type.

Diamonds are naturally found several hundred blocks deep in the cavernous networks and underground regions of the [[world]]. They are typically surrounded by hard rock, such as [[stone]]. Rarely but occasionally, they can be found underwater in a subterranean confined or perched aquifer. They may be purchased from a level 6 [[Trade Portal|trade portal]]. They can also, rarely, be found in a [[Golden Chest|golden chest]], received from [[Meditate|meditation]], or growing on a [[Gem Tree|gem tree]].

Diamonds are needed to upgrade a portal to a [[Portal#Level_6_-_Diamond_Portal|diamond (level 6) portal]], allowing a [[blockhead]] to craft a [[Diamond Pickaxe|diamond pickaxe]] and some other special items.
