I think it would be a good idea to add back the ability for user creation on the wiki. Paging [abcboy on the forums is discouraging to new users due to the time consuming nature of it. I think that we should set "$wgGroupPermissions['*']['createaccount'] = true;" :). Interested in hearing the rationale behind the initial decision by MintYogi.
