Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Overview
theblockheads.wiki is an independent, community-maintained wiki dedicated to The Blockheads. This policy describes how I collect, use, and protect personal information when you use the Website.
The Website is operated independently by FloofyPlasma. I am not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise associated with the original developers or rights holders of The Blockheads.
What I Collect
- Account data: If you create an account, the wiki stores your username, email address, and any optional information you choose to provide in your profile. Email addresses are required to create an account.
- Edit history: Edits are recorded with the contributing username or, for anonymous edits, the contributor's IP address, along with timestamps and edit summaries. Edit histories are publicly accessible.
- Access logs: My server may log IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and other technical information. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
- Cloudflare: The Website's domain uses Cloudflare for DNS and proxy services. Depending on the configuration of these services, Cloudflare may process technical information associated with requests to the Website. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
What I Don't Collect
- The Website does not use tracking cookies or analytics.
- I do not sell personal information or intentionally share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
The Website may still transmit or disclose technical information to service providers where necessary to operate, secure, or maintain the Website.
How I Use Information
Personal information is used only for purposes reasonably necessary to:
- Run and maintain the wiki.
- Prevent abuse, spam, and other misuse.
- Maintain website security and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Send account recovery emails, password reset links, and other essential account communications.
- Contact you regarding policy violations, abuse, or other wiki-related matters.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
I do not use personal information for targeted advertising or behavioral tracking.
How Long I Keep Data
- Account data: Kept while your account exists. You may request account deletion, subject to the limitations described below.
- Edit history: Retained as part of the wiki's permanent contribution history. Public edits may remain accessible after an account is deleted.
- Access logs: Server access logs are retained for up to 30 days, after which they are deleted, subject to necessary security, backup, or legal retention requirements.
Data Security
I take reasonable measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
- TLS encryption for Website traffic.
- Secure server configuration.
- Regular software and security updates.
No system is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your account and do not include sensitive personal information in wiki content or edit summaries.
Third-Party Services and Extensions
The Website is hosted on hardware operated by me.
The Website uses Cloudflare for DNS and proxy services. Cloudflare's handling of information is governed by its own Privacy Policy.
MediaWiki extensions installed on the Website are configured to operate without intentionally sending personal information to external services, except where necessary for services described in this policy.
If the Website begins using additional third-party services that process personal information, this policy may be updated to describe those services and their purposes.
Your Rights
You may:
- Request deletion of your account.
- Request information about personal data associated with your account or activity on the Website.
- Contact me with questions about how personal information is handled.
Requests may be subject to applicable legal requirements and reasonable verification of your identity.
Account deletion does not necessarily remove public contributions or edit histories. Information may be retained where necessary to preserve the integrity of the wiki, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
To make a privacy request, contact me through my talk page or email: [email protected].
As a small independent wiki, I can provide information that is reasonably available through MediaWiki and my website infrastructure. This may include account information, public contributions, and relevant server records.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
Warning: This is a community wiki. Edits and edit histories are public by default. Do not include sensitive personal information in wiki content or edit summaries.
