'''Worms''' are passive creatures found throughout a [[blockhead]]'s [[world]]. They were introduced in [[Game updates/20130311|version 1.2]]. Although they are creatures, worms act as acquired items. Worms can be used both as an edible food item as well as an item used in the [[crafting]] process.

 

Worms are found by digging [[dirt]] (with or without grass) or [[compost]]. They are produced randomly and not infrequently at an estimated chance of about 5% per [[spade]] stroke (this means that using a higher level spade will result in a lower worm per grass block ratio), although a spade is not required. In compost, there is a higher chance a worm will be found.

Worms are used as bait in the [[crafting]] of a [[Fishing Rod|fishing rod]] at a level 2 [[Craft Bench|craft bench]].

Worms are also edible resource food items. When consumed, a worm will restore a small portion of a blockhead's [[Hunger Bar|hunger bar]] and [[Health Bar|health bar]].
